The history of the Cove Pocono Resorts began in 1958 when Morris B. Wilkins and Harold O'Brien purchased a hotel now known as the Cove Haven Resort in Pennsylvania . Their iconic heart shaped tubs were introduced five years later. The second resort, Paradise Streams, was purchased in January of 1971. That was the same year that Life Magazine featured the heart shaped tubs in an article. In 1972, the Garden of Eden Apple suite was introduced, featuring the in-room swimming pools. Four years later, the Pocono Palace Resort was purchased. The Cove Haven resort was the first of the three to have the Champagne Glass Whirlpool introduced by Wilkins in 1984. In 1991, the Champagne Glass Whirlpool was introduced to the Pocono Palace Resort and today they can be found at all three locations. Pocono Palace Resort celebrated it's 30th anniversary in 2006.
